... One of the wee cousins was out at my Ma's when I visited last week. He trained as a fitness instructor, liked it too until he did in his cruciates and packed it in.
Turns out he knows the 2 guys who work at my gym.
Means even if I wanted to chuck it, I'd still have to go cos the wee sod would nip my head if I didnt.
And Davie and Stevie wind me up when they see me at the Gym too.
Christ, knowing my luck I'll be (sweating) glowing like a pig and he'll come into the gym cos Stevie said that Castlemilk is shutting for a few weeks for refurbishment and thats where Joe goes.
Bugger....

Strange day...
...Started out as a dayshift. Nearly slept in, lots of noise through the night from the airport with jumbo's coming in Evergreen aviation, the cargo outfit the American military used during the summer to transport the dirty bombs to Isreal. Wonder if last nights racket had anything to do with Korea exploding their first nuclear device through the week?
Drove like a maddy to get to work on time.
Looking at the off duty, thanks to folk staying off sick who were supposed to be coming back but not bothering to let us know, we were really short on the N so, I did a short shift this am - 07.30-11.00 then came back on 23.00-0745, course that meant tomorrows D had to be changed into a N.
When I got in, the boss had been contacted and she came in to cover till I got there, which is a shame cos she never gets away at the right time anyway during the week, we realised that there was a knock on weffect at the begining of the week, so instead of N Sunday, I'm doing N Monday instead which works in better with my existing off duty. Got a nice thank you email from the boss for being flexible, but thats what being off a rota means to me, as long as a) it doesnt become a habit and b) people realise I can do that for emergencies which are unavoidable, c) I'll be fucked before I'll let myself be used to fill in for offduty some of the clowns in here dont fancy doing.
Of course I did more this afternoon when I got back to the van than I normally do when I'm rostered for nights. ie.
Did a washing.
Hung it out.
Made mushroom soup - from scratch.
Watched an old episode of Star Trek TOS. (The first part of The Menagerie).
Watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on DVD (again) and some of the extras.
Yes, he's definately doing Michael Jackson - and very well too.
Mopped up some remains of something Maisie had caught, played with, didnt eat but shredded and left lying over the kitchen floor. Thank you Maisie.
Took in the washing.
Emptied the litter tray. Dont know which is the worst. Emptying the tray or picking up body parts.
Went to bed for a couple of hours just dozed though, some bloody dog kept barking.
When the bloody dog wasn't barking, some bloody plane was coming in to land.
Or taking off.
Bastards.
Still, I'll get my reward in Heaven.

Nearly the end of the season...
...and time to start getting the caravan ready to lie over the winter. Better do a better job of it this year, so I dont get bloody mice in again.
Couldnt get home over the weekend, working nights, Scotland v's France game at Hampden (FUXAKE, WE WON!!!) so dont know if there are any letters waiting for me.
Still, the pipes are sorted, just got to pay for the damage now - and the shitey smell will have disappeared.

Finally got a new laptop...
...about three weeks ago, havn't been near the house, apart from quick runs in to pick up the mail.
I'll leave the reasons for that for another time.
Its a Toshiba, from PC World - never buying a computer again from Aldi thats for sure.
It even had windowsXP already plumbed into it.
What have I done with it since I got it 3 weeks ago - played fuckin' Free Cell thats all.
Get it set up for the net yet.
My friends Dad died a couple of weeks ago. Right out the blue.
Suppose its the best way for him - he wouldnt have been aware of it really, but helluva difficult for those left behind, trying to come to terms with it.
Dont think my pal really beleives it yet, when you go through the first few days after a sudden berevement like that, everythings a kind of blur and you've got the arrangements to make, appointments for insurance etc. to keep you occupied and something to concentrate on so that you are deliberately not thinking about the reason behind why youre actually doing it in the first place.
First thing his mum asked me was how did my maw cope after my Da passed suddenly.
Thats when I found out that she didnt really - turns out she used to get the bus into Glasgow, sit in the bus station for the next bus, bearing in mind it takes an hour to get to hers from the town, go for a cup of tea then dive out for the next bus into either Stirling or Falkirk, basically just played on the buses. As she said - "Why do you think I didnt argue with you when you suggested going to Cardonald to see what stray dugs were in?"
She met her match with the dug she picked out.
