JEEZO, 'ZAT THE TIME...

...didnt realise its been a month since I last posted.
See this lap-top-still-donald ducked caper! - the people I got to de-bug it the last time, just two days after getting the frontage of their shop all painted up have shut up shop, the swines.
Just need to find someone else who can de-bug the thing - hopefully for buttons.

Well, went to T-in-the-Park, or T - on my own. Took 3 hours to do a journey I can normally do in 30 mins. Cos Ive been going to the gym, moving the gear was a doddle. Tent up - no problemo.
Then the fuckin' rain started, not much, just sma' rain. Dosnt feel like much but gets through everything. This continued more or less till Sunday, dinnertime then it got hot and sunny.

Highlights on the Saturday.
Franz Ferdinand - pissing with rain, breath condensing in front of your face and they still played a blinder.
Placebo - hadnt heard any of their stuff before, didnt waste time with crap chat and let the songs speak for themselves. Great guitar work and vocals.
Red Hot Chilli Peppars - patter between the songs - esp. if it was Flea talking a bit naff but fantastic group who seemed genuinly pleased with the reception they got from the fans.
Kaiser Chiefs - seen them twice now, songs OK but they really know how to work a crowd and get everyone moving. Maximo Park should take note.
Goldfrapp - dont know which I liked more - this band or the hot donuts and hot chocolate I wired into when I was watching them . Well, it helped me heat up.

Highlights on the Sunday.
Proclaimers - got the crowd singing along.
Magic Numbers - good band, but the wee thing one of the lassies played was like something primary one schoolkids would play - better.
The Strokes - pure shite, really disapointed in them.
The Who - pure class. Only one song I didnt know the words to - from the forthcoming album. The encore was a reprise of Tommy so I was in my element. Not many bands at T where I knew the words to the songs.
Steak baguette at dinner time and a chicken and black bean sauce when I was trying to find the exit to the campsite.

Monday - 5 hours to get home. If I get tickets for next year, I'll turn off at Dollar, go through Tillicoultry and take the Stirling road home, none of this fucking around for the Kincardine bridge route - thought I'd burned out the second gear. I've got to punch the fucker sometimes to get it to go in gear now.

Back at work now - roll on the next holiday, towards the end of August.
