...Still coughing my guts up, managing if I'm lucky 3 or 4 hours sleep whether its day shift or night shift, night shifts are easier to cope with as they are less hassle due to no docs/parents/bosses etc acting like nappies - you know the one, hanging round your arse and full of shit.
Still its been 6 weeks of coughing and snottering, the wheeze is back and the inhaler's in use again.
I've got the practise nurse at the GP surgery in 2 weeks re BP, meds and the result of the bloods (u's & e's, cholesterol, TBG.) that were taken a couple of days ago.
And its 04:07am and the night shift "hour of the wolf" is catching up with me.
First the spelling goes, soon it'll be the co-ordination.
Bugger.

Things that parents have said to us...
..."Aye well, you can take a duck to water, but you canny make it drink"
- on being told the wean wouldnt take a bottle.
..."Ah know aw about thae cot deaths, its no gonny happen tae ma wean, she's gonny sleep in her pram!"
- on being handed a sudden infant death information leaflet.
...staff - "Well, if you dont want the father to visis, whats his name?"
mum - "A***"
staff - "What's his surname?"
mum- "Ah dont know, but he's got black curly hair an' he wears a leather jaiket!"
- on requestion that the staff bar the father of her child! (CHRIST, dont they even know who they're dropping their knickers for?)
..."Ah'm no puttin' the wean in wan a thae flashing chairs - they lights gie ye epilepsy"
- when another mother had told her about the all-singing all-flashing bouncy chair for babies.

Night shift again.....
...kept going, one member of staff down - had to be sent to work elsewhere.
Thought we were getting a new admission but it didn't come off.
Oh, and the fire alarm went of at 02.30 this morning, water coming through the ceiling had triggered the alarm when it flooded it, seemingly water had been reported to the Estates Dept yeterday as dripping from the ceiling, God knows what they did but it obviously wasnt enough.
Building <5yrs old and getting in a bloody state already.
BPs not as high as it was but to keep taking the tablts till I can see either the GP or the practice nurse.
Still attending Physio for the back, I think he could tell I hadnt actually been doing my excercises, so I'll try and make more of an effort.
Still coughing up loads of muck from my chest, my voice is going, not really aware of a wheeze, just generally pissed off.
And there's still water dripping from the bloody ceiling.

Fuxake...........
...Still no 'puter, the place round the corner that does the repairs dosn't exactly keep regular hours. Suppose if your self employed you can please yourself. Only means that any time I've been off, the shop hasn't been open. I'll get it fixed yet.
Tried last week to post a blog but it wasn't accepted, I thought it was me using the works 'puter and getting knocked back because of that but from reading other blogs, it looks as though blogger was down - not responsible, honest.
Back on eBay - bad mistake, waiting on the next 5 episodes of Lost , me and several others who are hooked.
Had the dug up at DM lodge - managed to tear my gastronaemius again, not as bad as it has been in the past, at least I can weight-bear already, just feel it pulling a bit if I over extend it.
There's someone in the work who is a "published author", has a website with soft porny pics and extracts, claims its romantic fiction, trying to moiston the gusset but its the biggest load of caque you can think off.
She has 'tasters' on the web-site, trying to hook in the gullible, sorry literary minded, well, if you like cheese you could call it a taste but listening to her going on about 'my publisher' and 'another couple of books...' Jesus Christ, does she think these guys publish this shite 'cos they think its the work of a literary giant.....................NAW, ITS 'COS SOME SAD FART WANTS TO HAVE A WANK TO IT and they are in the business of making money for themselves and their shareholders - and God help us, this tosser thinks she's good!
I've mentioned to a couple of people in work I've got this blogsite - but I'm damned I'll tell anyone what its called. I like the idea I can have a wee rant - OK, a fucking big rant if I want to and no-one will know.
I also dont want anyone I know to get this close to me.
Sad bastard eh?

Post Easter..........
...still not had the 'puter fixed, still using the one at work - I'm on a t-break, nyah!
Easter's been and gone, pigged out on chocolate as per usual, went home a couple of times, went over to Culross to walk the dog - its flat, nice paths, plenty of shitpokes and doggyturd bins, free parking, nice views, cos the rivers tidal it smells like the sea etc.
Still havnt finished cleaning out the van, made quite a bit of headway right enough, threw out loads of clothes shoes etc still to get a steam cleaner but that wont be far off then I'll feel happy staying overnight there, which as Hampden's going to be busy over the next few weeks what with football cup finals, various supergroups appearring and Live & Loud - crap, trendy bands no one will remember in a couple of years for kids - the sooner I can start staying down there to get away from the buggers who lift cars for the polis the better.
Young cousin got engaged at the weekend, didnt bother going to the do as a) just an excuse to con presents out you and when the engagements over they never get returned and b) None of their engagements have ever lasted beyond a couple of months every time they've done the big 'engagement party' thing. She seems to be a nice lassie - according to maw - but God help us, He doesn't have much conversation, just the same old reminiscences every time, some of them he's made up but believes to be true (bless) and will keep talking to maw about my Da - almost 2 years since he died and its still a bit raw, and like me, Maw doesn't need to be continually reminded that he's no longer here.
Still snow on the Ochills. No wonder its still cold. Bugger.

4 down, 1 to go.....................
....thats 12 hour dayshifts. 07.30 t0 19.45, we've been elatively well-staffed, been on with a crowd who are relatively like-minded so its been a laugh, all the works been done and recorded as having been done so its been a nice set of shifts.
Pity it cant be like that all the time.
Hopefully tomorrow will be OK too, no really sick babies, crash-calls, obnnoxious junkies blaming us for their babies drug withdrawals or anyone phoning in sick.
Christ, who am I kidding?.
Roll on the days off and the first full Easter off in @ 10 years.

Still cream-crackered..................
...............Working until Wed.(12 hour day shifts) so wont be till Thursday until I can get the 'puter to the Puterdoc to get rid of the bugs - or worms. Sort of a cyber Bob Martin's thats needed really plus the noddymotor needs a new windshield thanks to a wierd shaped crack thats appeared - started of small now its not only grown its curled round on itself so if the polis see it I can get done because the whole frigging windscreen could shatter at any time.
Havn't spoken to D since his run flat tyre exploded on him last week as he had just come off the Kingston Bridge. Horrible feeling, just driving along behind a low-loader and reaslising you recognise the number plate of the slightly dented mini on it - especially as you know said mini has always been kept in a pristine condition.
Not a nice day in some ways.
Found out last night my young cousin was getting cremated today - we hadnt even been told he was ill never mind terminal cancer.
I think maw felt it more than me, up till I was 5 they stayed up the next close, Stuart was 9 months younger than me so we would have been looked after a lot by mum as Julie would have been busy with her older two kids but there wasn't time to arrange cover to ask for compassionate leave plus Joan had said they wanted to keep the funeral 'party' small.
Still with uncle Joe and auntie Julie now both dead, my Maw would have been the only living relative from Joe's side of the immediate family left.
Might have let her know sooner.
Bugger that.

damn computer
Havn't posted anything for ages. Not bored or anything, just the bloody computer giving it the black screen of death. Worked fine after I'd got in from work, had a kip - damn night shifts, switched it on to get the latest laughs from scaryduck, misty, blog pie ect. and got a black screen. Again. Five weeks after the last time it did that to me.
So, posting this from a computer at work ....................Oooooh err.
Get the bloody laptop fixed at some point.
If I can be arsed.
